“A beautiful collection of work. Very deep and so well produced.”
— Susan Silver (Manager - Alice In Chains, Soundgarden)
Moroccan Dog is a five-piece Alternative Rock band from Seattle, Washington. Drawing from influences such as Jeff Buckley, Soundgarden and Elliott Smith, “the band's balance of plaintive, atmospheric crooning with a song's octane second act results in sonic terrain that comes off like a boxing match in a smoking jacket. There's an immensely satisfying way these musicians present angst and tension, building to a breaking point and collectively unleashing themselves into resolution.” (-Digital Velvet)
Forming in 2017, the group evolved in late 2024 to a five-piece, driven by the pairing of Molly Kelly and Callan Spafford together on vocals. They are currently playing shows around Seattle, and are set to record a new album in the spring.
Having played shows around Seattle and LA at venues such as Madame Lou’s, The Viper Room, and Chop Suey, a show from the band will read the room, driven by the purpose of connecting to the audience - whether that’s a high-octane rock lineup or stripped back to an almost entirely folk-driven show. “I think that’s one of the best things about performing, choosing your path to connecting with the audience”
“The vocal aesthetic is seasoned and self aware, able to sound torn and tender, gritty in the mid tones and even more so in the high register wails and falsettos.”
